Het betreft een van de hele vroege serie uit 1977 (Modeljaar 1978), kenmerkend voor deze eerste types zijn de 4.5 liter V8 motoren in combinatie met een 5 versnellingsbak. Dit is heel uitzonderlijk omdat in de latere jaren meer dan 85% van de productielijn als automaat werd uitgeleverd.
De combinatie Mocca Brown exterieur lak en Pascha interieur bekleding maken deze 928 helemaal af en zeer gewild.
De kenners hadden het vast al opgemerkt en inderdaad de velgen en voor/achterspoiler zijn niet origineel of tijdcorrect, maar een typische 80s upgrade om de auto de S look te geven. Haal ze eraf en we zijn terug in de jaren 70.
