London, Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, and Brown, 1817. xxii (bladzijde iii t/m viii na bladzijde xxii ingebonden), 607 bladzijden. Met ingebonden errata. Leer op rug en hoeken, gemarmerde boorden. Vier ribben op rug. Rug versierd in goudopdruk en met titelschildje in zwart leer met letters in goudopdruk. Band met slijtageplekjes en langs scharnieren bovenzijde wat gespleten (voor en achter). Gemarmerde schubladen. Voorin labeltje van boekbinder (J. Hammond, Binder Mullingar). Verder nog een label met de afbeelding van een Griekse tempel en twee ex librissen (J.W. Middleton Berry, Ballynegall). Ballynegall was een groot landhuis in Ierland (nu vervallen tot een ruïne). Middleton overleed in 1855. De andere ex libris is van Robert J. Hayhurst. Boekblok met foxing en soms iets gebruind. Formaat circa 28 x 22 cm, 4,5 cm dik. Gewicht ruim 2 kg.
