De Commodores is een Amerikaanse soul- en funkgroep die vooral in de jaren zeventig en tachtig succesvol was. De groep scoorde haar grootste hits met Easy, Three Times a Lady, Sail On en Brick House. Wereldwijd werden meer dan 75 miljoen platen verkocht.
Vooral Lionel Ritchie heeft een indrukwekkende solo carriere gehad.
