That's the Way of the World was het zesde studioalbum van Earth, Wind & Fire, uitgebracht in 1975. Het was ook de soundtrack voor een gelijknamige film uit 1975 met verschillende bandleden in cameorollen. Op het album stond de single "Shining Star", die een nummer 1 Amerikaanse pop- en R&B-hit werd. Een andere populaire single was het titelnummer, dat nummer 12 bereikte in de popchart. Het album stond drie weken bovenaan de Billboard Pop Albums Charts en vijf weken bovenaan de Soul Albums-hitlijst. "That's the Way of the World" was ook het derde best verkochte popalbum en het nummer één best verkochte R & B-album van 1975 respectievelijk en is gecertificeerd triple platina in de VS.
