The Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie gives young riders extra power, so they can tackle long family rides and keep up with the adults. Using the same technologies as full-size e-mtbs, it features a Bosch Active drive unit mated to easy-to-use Shimano 9-speed gears. The Suntour XCT JR fork is designed specifically for younger, lighter riders and helps smooth out trails. A child-friendly cockpit and saddle provide a very comfortable riding position. It's fair to say that Bosch didn't have perfectly proportioned kids' bikes in mind when they designed their drivetrain system, but that didn't stop us from integrating it into the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie frame. Using the same design and construction techniques as adult hybrid mtbs, they have built a junior hybrid that is both fun to ride and safe. Internal cable routing greatly reduces maintenance, and they've even included mounts for a CUBE kickstand.
