Cipollini MCM Super Record – Built for you
Former world sprint champion and company founder Mario Cipollini only settled for the best equipment when he was a professional cyclist, and this also applies to his high-end racing bikes today.
The MCM frame is manufactured using the Tube-to-Tube (T2T) process to allow for the best possible customization.
Unlike a monocoque frame, more or less made in one piece, the prefabricated carbon tubes are glued to each other in the case of the T2T. Custom manufacturing is also possible, because the length and shape of the tubes as well as the angle at which they are placed relative to each other can be designed flexibly.
The MCM's carbon frame features a single-ply finish and can be equipped with disc or rim brakes. It is designed for 25 millimeter tires, but it can also accommodate 28 millimeter tires (maximum).
The result of intensive research work
Mario Cipollini invests a lot of time and passion in research and development to create ever more innovative and high-performance frame designs, while remaining extremely aesthetic and unique. Its team at the company's headquarters in Verona includes the best engineers in the sector.
The brand relies on transparent production chains and Italian quality work. The bikes are developed and largely produced in Italy, some stages of which are carried out by hand. Carbon lamination takes place at the Cipollini bicycle center in Bosnia, under the guidance of the Italian expert team. Cipollini tests the equipment with professional teams that the brand also partly sponsors.
Perfectly adapted equipment under the Italian tricolor sign
If traditional Italian brands have long struggled to fit disc brakes on racing bikes, Cipollini is now also relying on hydraulic disc brakes from Campagnolo.
Fully internal cable routing ensures a clean design and aerodynamic advantages, even in the version with rim brakes.
This version of the MCM is Italian through and through. It integrates the Super Record EPS, the flagship of Campagnolo transmissions, in its electronic version. Campagnolo was the pioneer in introducing twelve-speed derailleurs to racing bikes in their mechanical version and the brand was also the first to do the same for electronic derailleurs. With the sleek and lightweight Super Record EPS, you get the best hardware and exceptional shifting performance. Here, a lot of carbon and titanium have been used and the ergonomic controls fit very well in the hand, while requiring very little operating force and allowing several gears to be changed at the same time. Your speed spectrum is thus finely scaled and you benefit from numerous customization and analysis possibilities via an external interface, the My Campy application and a smartphone or computer. Bike computer Twelve speeds with a classic compact crank and a 50 and 34 tooth chainring at the front allow, in combination with an 11 to 32 tooth cassette, to find the right gear in every situation.
The high-performance Campagnolo WTO carbon wheels with 45 millimeter high rims allow you, together with the Pirelli P Zero Race TLR 26 tires, to slide quickly and aerodynamically in windy conditions.
Overall, the MCM is very race oriented in terms of equipment and geometry. It has great rigidity and good aerodynamics, but can also be handled safely in turns and offers more cushioning than a pure aerocycle.
